Manager Sales

SUMMARY

The Service Manager is responsible for the daily operations and management of the Service Department, management and control of the WIP. The candidate will ensure Technicians have a full work schedule either in the shop or on the field, will monitor all overtime hours for Technicians and will resolve customer disputes. He or she will also satisfy monthly budget requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This is a key position within the business, requiring strong personal leadership, teamwork, collaboration and relationship development skills
  • Build and maintain relationships with end use customers and manufacture partners.
  • Lead and coordinate activities involving the sale of new and used equipment.
  • Monitor the daily activities and performance of Territory Managers in each territory and compare performance with monthly budgets and goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Territory Managers when requested or required. 
  • Determine/approve equipment prices, discount rates, programs and margins.
  • Prepare and present budgets for approval by the Regional Vice President.
  • Coordinate and distribute inventories by established territories, targets, market share and objectives. 
  • Optimize equipment inventory through the evaluation of forecasting models and sales activities. 
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and be undeterred by frequent obstacles and objections.
  • Responsible for the sales performance of Territory Managers in the Ontario region.
  • Plan, monitor, coach and mentor the Territory Managers enabling them to win new business. 
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Strongco’ s supplier partners and manufacturers. 
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Manufacturer and supplier representatives.
  • Direct the activities and management of the Ontario Sales Coordinator. 
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to successfully capture sales progress and achievements.
  • Schedule and document activities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and provide clear, consistent communication on key issues impacting business results.
  • Participate and represent Strongco at various industry related associations 
  • Ensure that all Territory Managers update and maintain various reports.
  • Provide representatives with market share according to their sector of activity on a monthly basis.
  • Any other related duties as assigned by the Regional Vice President

EDUCATION/ TRAINING:

  • Minimum three years of industry experience in sales or sales management discipline
